  • Jigsaw puzzles became very popular among adults in the early 20th century.
  • The sales of puzzles reached a peak in the early 1930’s when they started selling into the millions.
  • Today, puzzles can be found in all sizes, with the 500 and 1000 piece being the most popular.the

  • Norman Gibat is the person credited with creating the first word search about 50 years ago.
  • Word searches became very popular with teachers as it is as great educational tool.
  • Word search puzzles are especially good in helping to teach foreign languages.
  • They are sometimes also known as word find, word seek, word sleuth or mystery word puzzle.
  • Some word search puzzles have secret messages hidden inside the word search.
  • Some word search puzzles are solved using a trivia question.
  • The toughest word search puzzles to solve is usually those without any clues or given words.

  • The first radio and television game shows was both broadcast in 1938. 
  • Chris Haney and Scott Abbott created the popular quiz board game, ‘Trivial Pursuit’ in 1979 in Montreal, Canada.
  • The popular electronic quiz game ‘Buzz’ was introduced in 2005 on the Playstation console.
  • Quiz games are very popular in schools as it is both entertaining and educational.
  • A pop quiz is a quiz where the students do not have any time to prepare.
  • The largest quiz ever had 2,280 paticipants.
  • Personality quizzes, made up of multiple-choice questions, does not have a right or wrong answer.
